The WAF is made up of Federations from all around the World It is set up as a Democratic body to govern Armwrestling with the best interest of the armwrestlers at the forefront. The main objective of WAF is to gain Olympic Acceptance. The WAF is divided into five groups that govern a certain area. North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. | |||||||||||||||||||

The WAF sanctions a World Championship once a year. The member federations submit bids to hold the World Championship. The World Championship for 1999 will be in Japan. It will be hosted by the Japanese Armsport Federation Next years World Championship will be voted on at this years Congress meeting. | |||||||||||||||||||
