WM XV Results

Before the match, HBK came out and ordered McMahon to the back, saying that he is the only guy who can appoint a referee at WrestleMania, so we'd have a regular ref. Austin started it off before he even took off his shirt. Both men had a good match, but not their best. Rock hit the Rock Bottom on Austin but he kicked out! Chairs got involved in the match, with Austin giving the ref a really stiff shot by mistake when Rock pulled him into Austin's path. So down comes a 2nd ref, Tim White, and the match continues. Rock hits Austin with a nice Samoan Drop and goes for the pin. When Austin kicks out, Rock gets pissed at the ref and gives him the Rock Bottom! Then when Rock turns round Austin hits the Stunner! Enter our 3rd referee, Earl Hebner. There was perhaps 5 seconds between the Stunner and Earl getting to the ring to make the count, and Rock kicked out! Match continues some more, when Vince McMahon comes down the aisle. Vince gets in the ring and clocks poor old Earl, then starts putting the boots to Austin with Rock. Mankind then comes down to ref the match and knocks Vince out the ring. Rock hits another Rock Bottom, but instead of going for the pin, he signals for the Corporate Elbow. Austin gets up and Rock misses! Rock goes for another Rock Bottom but Austin counters, then Austin hits the Stunner to win the match and the WWF Title!

Hell In A Cell Match: The Undertaker vs Big Boss Man

This match just wasn't very good at all, no high spots and certainly nothing like the 2 previous Hell In A Cell matches. Anyway, Boss Man tried to handcuff Taker to the Cell but Taker broke loose, then proceeded to beat him with the Tombstone. After the match, the Brood came down from the rafters and lowered a noose through the Cell, where Taker hung the Boss Man with it, having Paul Bearer raise the Cell. Scary.

WWF European Title Match: Shane McMahon vs X-Pac

Test came down with Shane, and interfered in the match several times, including hitting X-Pac's crotch on the ringpost. The Greenwich Posse were at ringside and tried to attack X-Pac, but he was able to easily beat them off. Shane actually showed some good moves and took some mild bumps, like going over the top rope to the floor and getting dropkicked off the top rope and landing on his crotch. Triple H and Chyna came down to apparently help X-Pac, while X-Pac hit Shane and Test with Bronco Busters. X-Pac gave Shane the X-Factor, but Chyna distracted the ref while Triple H gave X-Pac the pedigree and put Shane on top of him for the pin.

WWF Intercontinental Title Match: 4-way elmination, Val Venis, Ken Shamrock, Goldust & Road Dogg Jesse James

All 4 men did well and hit their trademark moves, though only Kenny got his finisher in. Great match, all 4 started off brawling. Blue Meanie was making faces and badmouthing Ryan Shamrock all the time it seemed. Val and Kenny were in the ring and Kenny got the Ankle Lock on, but to Val's credit he didn't tap out, he made it to the ropes. Val then threw Kenny out the ring, and Ryan came over to badmouth him. While Kenny was distracted, Val hit him with a baseball slide and the two brawled up the rampway and both got counted out. Kenny ran back and belly-to-belly suplexed Road Dogg and Goldust. Goldust got up to make the cover but Dogg kicked out. Goldust went to whip Dogg into the ropes but Dogg reversed it, and Ryan caught Goldust's leg. Dogg ran at Goldust but got caught in a powerslam, however Dogg somehow managed to roll Goldust over for a pin and the win. After the match Goldust told Ryan to get lost, which made Meanie happy.

Hardcore Title Match: Billy Gunn vs Al Snow vs Hardcore Holly

Good match, but not the best Hardcore I've seen. All 3 men hit good moves though. Chairs were used obviously, as well as a hockey stick and a broom. Al Snow brought a table in, but ended up getting hiptossed into it by Billy Gunn. Billy had already laid out Holly with a chair, so he set up the chair and hit Al Snow with the Fame-ass-er onto the chair. As Billy went for the cover, Holly got up and whacked Billy with the chair, then Holly pinned Snow who was still out, and won the Hardcore Title.

Kane vs Triple H

Not a great match, I was hoping for better. During the match Chyna came down. Kane hit a chokeslam on Triple H, and Chyna asked Kane if she could come in with a chair to hit Triple H. Chyna came in but hit Kane when his back was turned, getting Helmsley disqualified. Triple H hit Kane with a Pedigree and he celebrated getting back together with Chyna.

Women's Title Match: Sable vs Tori

Not the most exciting match of the night, but both women did pretty good work. After Sable and Tori traded pinning combinations, the ref getting knocked down and Tori escaping a Sable Bomb attempt, Nicole Bass came through the crowd and Gorilla Press Slammed Tori while the ref was still out. Sable then hit the Sable Bomb and the ref got up to make the count.

Tag Team Title Match: Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett vs D'Lo Brown and Test

D'Lo Brown and Test won this title opportunity on Heat after being the last two to survive in a battle royal. They had trouble communicating and kept badmouthing each other, but they actually made a pretty good team. At one point Owen had Test in the Sharpshooter but D'Lo broke it up. Then D'Lo had it won with the Sky High on Jeff but Owen broke it up. Pretty good match I thought. Then Debra got on the apron, and Ivory pulled her down and started arguing, with PMS coming out to get involved too. Test got distracted by the argument, leaving D'Lo on his own. D'Lo was setting up Jeff for a running powerbomb, but Owen hit him with a missile dropkick and Jeff rolled over with him to make the pin. After the match, D'Lo and Test got into a brawl.
