I am sickened every year around playoff time listening to Knick fans chew my ear off about how 'this is the year!'
Give me a break.
As a Spurs faithful fan since Robinson was drafted out of Navy, I have swallowed playoff disappointment every year. But this year has been so great and the playoffs even better.
This is the year for the Spurs and it is evident to almost everybody around the country.
The Eastern battle between the Knicks and Pacers will allow one of them to fall to the Spurs in the finals. But this brings me to my dilemma. As a vocal Knick hater and Spurs fan, seeing a win over the Knicks in the finals would be about as sweet as anything can be for me.
One thing you must understand is that I have no doubt that the Spurs will beat either Indiana or New York. So I try to tell myself to hope the Knicks beat Indiana so the Spurs can trample them in the finals. But every time I sit in front of the television and watch the Knicks I get sick at each basket they make. I can't root for them..it is impossible. So I think what it comes down to is that I just want the Knicks gone as soon as possible.
Beating Indiana should be sweet anyway.
Thank you for listening to a Spurs fan living in a city of the Knicks hopeless followers.
