No more EXCUSES!

Official website of the Arizona Connectors, an
offshoot of Connecting Connectors

Who needs to run?

Not all Connectors are runners so upcoming "official" events include walks! Join us!

Sometimes those who join the Connectors are quiet because they are not interested in running and feel this board is for runners only.  We understand why it might feel that way. We runners have races in which we can celebrate every victory (over ourselves or others).  Many other exercise endeavors don't have such activities.

That's why we have made an effort to choose upcoming "official" events that include a walking or skating aspect.  Those who don't feel they can walk the distance yet or are injured and not able to be on their feet can come and cheer everyone on. It is a great way to meet everyone and you can't help but get caught up in the excitement.

Upcoming events include: Susan Komen Foundation Race for The Cure, October 8, 2000 in downtown Phoenix and the New Times 10K, November 12, 2000 also in Phoenix (with a dramatic ending in BOB). Both of these events are listed on our calendar. Check it out for more details!

Also look for a Connector holiday party TBD--now Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday, but it may be too soon to schedule on then.  This is going to be a relaxed, calm environment in which everyone can gab and get to talk without the interference of large crowds and loud cheering. Of course, there will most likely be some sort of physical activity associated with it--Hey! It's tradition.
