11 May 1999: Mokoena will join the selection for the cupfinal

Ajax has some defenders with injuries (Blind, Tobiasen, Vierklau, Melchiot (sick) and Oliseh).
That's why Aaron Mokoena is one of the members of the selection for the cupfinal. This young
defender plays for the national team of South Africa. Atletico Madrid and AS Roma want Sunday
Oliseh.

10 May 1999: Ajax to place six

After the match Ajax - De Graafschap 3-1, Ajax is the number six this season. Godee made a 
goal (penalty) for De Graafschap and Sibon, Melchiot and Hoekstra made the goals for Ajax. 
If Ajax is able to reach place five it will get a ticket for the UEFA-CUP tournament. Or Ajax
can get a ticket for this tournament if it wins the cupfinal against Fortuna Sittard.

1 May 1999: Ajax - Feyenoord 6-0

This afternoon Ajax beated Feyenoord with 6-0. Gronkjær made the first gaol. In the second half
Wamberto made 2-0 and Sibon 3-0. After this Jari Litmanen made two fantastic goals and in the 
last minute Arveladze made 6-0. For Feyenoord it was a terrible match. They missed a lot of 
players but they had to play better with the other players.

28 april 1999: West Ham United wants Mario Melchiot

West Ham is interested in Mario Melchiot. He must leave Ajax this summer. Defender Melchiot is
22 years old. Assistent Frank Lampard viewed Mario Melchiot two matches. Jan Olde Riekerink 
will be the new assistent of Jan Wouters. Heini Otto will be the coach of the second team of 
Ajax. Edwin van der Sar has made a decision about his future. Soon he will tell us if he will
leave Ajax or not.
