Jennifer began playing basketball when she was 4 years old. She went on to play for Stanford University in California. She led the Cardinal to its first-ever National Championship in her senior year ('90) During her four years at Stanford the team compiled a 101-23 record Made three NCAA Tournament appearances Kodak All-American two consecutive years ('89 & '90) Received the Wade Trophy (1990) 1990 Naismith Player of the Year MVP of the 1990 NCAA Final Four Pac-10 Player of the Year ('89 &'90) First Team All-Pac 10 ('88, '89 & '90) Among Stanford's Top 10 career leaders in points scored (1634, 5th), points per game (13.4, 5th), field goal percentage (.485, 10th), three-point field goals attempted (423, 4th), three-point field goals made (191, 2nd), three-point field goal percentage (.452, 1st), free throw percentage (.766, 9th), assists (757, 2nd), steals (271, 2nd), personal fouls (368, 1st) and games played (122, 8th)
Her most cherished moments was winning the gold medal in Atlanta '96, and the opening night of the ABL.
