Nicole Perna was this years "Sportsman of the Year" and scholarship recipient (and well deserved). $500 was donated by the St. Val's AC and an additional $300 was added by Dan Glennon and Rob Gardner. This is a brief run-down of her impressive resume: Basketball: 4 Varsity Letters, Captain Grade 12, Essex Co. Finals, Essex Co. Champions, NNJIL League Champs, 1st Place Holiday Tourney Champs, Girls All-Star Holiday, Honorable Mention All-County, 1st Team All-Quad, 2nd Team All-Quad. Softball: 4 Varsity Letters, Essex Co. Champs, Group IV Section II State Champs, 2nd Team All-Essex Co. , 2nd Team All-League NNJIL, 1st Team All-Area, 1st Team All-Quad, 2nd Team All-Quad and Honorable Mention All-Town. Soccer: 3 Varsity Letters, Captain Grade 12. Honorable Mention NNJIL Nicole is also an active volunteer with St Thomas Communion Retreat, Bloomfield Women's Club. She is also a Yearbook editor, involved with the SGA, Key Club, Italian Club, Senior Fashion Show, Bloomfield Recreation Dept. and a Class Officer. St. alentine Athletic Club was proud to honor her this year and we wish her well in whatever the future may hold for her. Congratulations Nicole!
