On Feb. 21, 1999, Rey
Mysterio partook in a match at Superbrawl IX. He and Konnan would be fighting
against two of the largest wrestlers in WCW, Kevin Nash and Lex Luger.
The stipulation was that if Rey and Konnan lost, Rey would have to take
off his mask. If Nash and Luger lost, their valet, Ms. Elizabeth would
have to shave off all her hair. With Luger injured, Scott Hall was now
teaming with Nash. True to his word, Rey took off his mask for the first
time in his career after he lost The following Monday, Rey challenged Nash
to a match and won. Perhaps the biggest upset in WCW history.
