FORMAT:
The Camp will be held at the Potomac Lakes Sportsplex in Sterling, Virginia. The camp will be broken into three sessions (Infielders, Outfielders, and Pitchers and Catchers), each lasting for approximately 3 hours. There is a separate fee for each session, and players may elect to participate in as many sessions as they choose.
The maximum number of players participating in each session is limited to 120. Four (4) fields are used, with two (2) fields set up for batting. At the batting fields, each player is allotted approximately 1-1/2 buckets of balls to show her batting skills, in addition soft-toss and T's are available for warm ups. Each player is timed running a 60 foot base path.
The Infielders Session (9:00 am - 11:45 am) has one field set up for infield drills and the final field set up for situational drills.
The Outfielders Session (noon - 2:45 pm) has one field set up for drills and the final field set up for situations (runners on base, gap balls, etc).
The Pitchers and Catchers Session (3:00 pm - 5:45 pm) is set up for both Pitchers and for Catchers to be showcased. One field is set up for infield drills, demonstrating the players' ability to field ground balls, etc. The situational field is divided: While the pitchers are involved in situational drills, the catchers in another section of the field being timed on throw downs. While the catchers are involved in situational drills, the pitchers are in another section of the field having their pitches recorded with a radar gun. Therefore, the catcher will not be catching her pitcher; pitchers should bring a parent, sibling, coach or friend to catch for them. Catchers are also encouraged to bring their own gear. We will have some gear available, but they will be more comfortable in their own gear.If you have any questions contact
