Darris Kilgour traded to Rochester

Bandits get Driscoll, draft picks in four-player deal

Just prior to the National Lacrosse League trading deadline this afternoon, the Buffalo Bandits swung a deal with Rochester, sending disgruntled attacker Darris Kilgour, reserve attacker Dean Cecconi, and a fourth-round draft pick in the September 2000 NLL Draft to the Knighthawks for Chris Driscoll, Brent Rothfuss and first- and second-round picks in this September's draft.

Kilgour, who entered Saturday's game against Toronto with 12 goals and 16 assists in just seven games, had become distressed with the Bandits' season-long struggles and requested a trade to a contender. Kilgour was an original Bandit, having joined the club in its inaugural 1992 season.

Driscoll entered the weekend as Rochester's leading assist man (24) and trailed only Duane Jacobs for the team lead in points scored, with 30. Rothfuss has not tallied a point so far this season. Cecconi had two goals and four assists for the Bandits, not including last night's action.

In an additional roster move, the Bandits released forward Matt Steinwald and added forward Bob Fisher.
